ABOUT
Who We Are
South Dakota Conservation Districts were developed more than 75 years ago as local forms of government. The districts are overseen by locally elected officials.
Conservation Districts originated after the Dust Bowl when everyone lost much of their top soil and understood the value of protecting our natural resources. What started by simply planting more trees to break the wind has expanded to implement technology and farming practices to protect our air, soil, water, and wildlife.

OUR MOVEMENT
What We Do
OUTREACH
PARTNERSHIP
Services
Education and outreach is essential to helping make a positive change in our environment. Though various events and education efforts, we strive to inform our community about resources and ways to conserve our natural resources.
Edmunds County Conservation District has built an environment of support and helpful resources to make sure that Partnership is always a priority. Our success is driven by the hearts, minds, and souls of our community. Come and join us.
To better serve our landowners and operators, we offer tree planting services. This service includes planning, planting, and fabric installation.
